Post-Camp Post

HEY!

I'M BACK ON PLANET EARTH!

YAY!

So yeah, remember that last post I did?

Ya know, the one where I said I'd post like 3 times a week?

I lied.

Sorry about that.

Instead I meant to say I'd post about once or twice during the entire Summer but ya know things happen and stuff...

Anyways, so I just finished up my 6th summer on staff down at Cherokee Scout Reservation. Which if you don't know, CSR is a Boy Scout summer camp in Yanceyville, NC. As usual I had an awesome time working there and I hope to do it again next year.

Here's a pic of the staff at camp, I'm going to miss all of these awesome people.


Now that camp is over however, I get to now pay attention to my favorite fall activity...

WHICH IS MARCHING BAND!!!

And tomorrow I get to go to NIGHTBEAT, which is an event in Charlotte where bands from around the nation come and compete. And they are really, really, really, good. So I'm pretty excited about that and the fact I have friends who will be competing in the bands.

Next thing on the marching band agenda is good ol' band camp. Which of course, is tons of sweat, hard work, repetition, and being yelled at. Why  I do it you ask? Well, it's hard to explain, you'd have to be a part of it to understand :P.

Post-Finals Post....

So, after staying awake for about 26 hours straight I kinda felt like this afterwards.



YEAH......

I thought I was going collapse on the sidewalk on my way back to my dorm.
BUT, I DIDN'T!!!! AND YAY I'M DONE WITH FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Yeah so I'm pretty happy you could say. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to getting back all of my grades. I did pretty awful this semester, and to make up for it I am going to have to pretty awesome next time. But for now, I'll just celebrate the fact that I'm alive.

NEW POKEMON GAMES COMING NOVEMBER 2014

My reaction when I heard about this:

Obviously, these are remakes of generation III Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. And honestly, probably my most favorite generation out of them all. The reason for this is the fact that I was in the 3rd grade when I got Pokemon Ruby. I played the heck outta of that game as a kid. I remember having a lot of fun making my secret base, along with battling with my brother and my friends. Plus, it was the first Pokemon game that I beat all by myself. It'll always hold a special place in my childhood. (AWWWWWWW...)

So yeah that's all I got tonight. I haven't been able to post in awhile due to well uh... finals... BUT now that I'm finished with those I'll be posting at least 3 times a week! So stay tuned!!!!

A Story from a Friend

A good friend of mine read my last post, and decided to write me a story using all of the words. Here ya go:

"Dude. This ratchet hater hipster was literally like HBD ILY 2 ma boo. So I wuz like "literally i cant even. I am so done. This overrated punk bout to twerk on the floor. Swag." So I went to find dat punk ass and i wuz like you's bout to get yo ass beat and he wuz like u mad bro? and i yelled YOLO! then hit him so hard he looked like an emoji. Words/Phrases I Hate

In honor of the day after Shakespeare's 450th birthday, I wanted to make a list of all the words and phrases I've come to hate throughout my lifetime. These words usually come from the internet or pop culture and they, unfortunately, have become a part of the average 25 years old's or younger vocabulary. Now yes, you can call me a hypocrite because I have used some of these words before, some of them I may have used today. However, some of these words/phrases I'll use ironically to make fun of the people who use them or I used them at some point in my life but later grew to despise them.

Also, do I think that you're unintelligent or uneducated if you use any of these words/phrases? Of course not!

Anyways, here's the list.

1. Literally (#1 misused word of all time according to me, screw whatever webster's says)
2. I can't even (Can't even.... what?)
3. I am so done (Done with.... what??)
4. Overrated (Oh you don't like something? So it MUST be overrated.....)
5. YOLO (duh)
6. Swag (duh)
7. Twerk (Miley made me hate this word even more)
8. Boo (Like dat's mah boo thing)
9. Dat (Bastardization of That)
10. u mad bro? (Old, overused, stupid)
11. ILY (Is that hard to type "I love you"?)
12. HBD ( Short for happy birthday... Come on man...)
13. Hater (A word to call the people who are honest with you that you disagree with)
14. Hipster (Another frequently misused term I think... honestly I'm not even sure what it means anymore)
15. Ratchet (When used to describe someone)
16. Hashtag (Okay I do use them, but I've grown to hate the sound of the word)
17. Selfie (We come up for words for everything....)
18. Blog (I used this word about 6 or 7 times today to tell people that I've made one, I'm sorry)
19. Emoji (Again, I use em', but I hate the word)
20. You's (Northern version of y'all)
